Lotus Elan S4 DHC 1971, This super Elan started out as FHC but was professionally converted to a DHC early in its life. Although not a genuine factory Sprint, a previous owner has painted her in Gold Leaf colours and badged her as a Sprint. We have written confirmation from Lotus confirming that the engine is indeed a genuine Big Valve Sprint unit. The restoration included a new galvanised Lotus chassis, Tony Thompson solid rear driveshafts, adjustable Tony Thompson suspension, an aluminium fuel tank, high performance aluminium radiator and electric cooling fan, electronic ignition and an alternator upgrade.
